with a view: looking out from the Yellowdragon HQ for the week in
Cannes |
Midem 2002
had
an excellent line up for the NRJ awards with Kylie Minogue, Britney
Spears, Geri Halliwell, Dido, Seal, Richard Branson with a new artist,
Billy Crawford and Westlife all putting in an appearance.
Dido won an award for best newcomer and best album and Geri best song,
with "It's raining men."
Mick Jagger was hanging out in the Carlton until the early hours promoting
a new album and Crown Prince of Haakon of Norway was here plugging Norway,
which was sponsoring Midem.
Had a good meeting with Robert Phoenix from e-music
who is going to put our music up for sale as downloadable mp3's.
Far East distribution, music license lawyers, film music, new age hip
hop, France dance producers really taking off - Brit industry watch
out!
Watched lots of great new talant especially for some of the Norewegian
line up including Electric Soft Parade.
