Master
Wong's last single was released in early 1998 under the name Yellow Dragon.
It was well received by many areas of the music press, and was played on
many radio stations, including by; Marcus Patrick on Surf FM, DJ Yanni
on Sound FM, David Withers on Neptune, Chris Moore on Dragon FM, Simeon
Pearl on Merlin FM, and KCBS Seattle. Billboard's Music and Media reviewed the single thus; "Mixing frantic housebeat with acoustic guitars and choruses of pure voices might seem odd, but Yellow Dragon's Jambala pulls it off. The mixture of two diametrically opposed styles actually works in the song's favour. A raw groove accentuates interweaving vocal harmonies, creating a track thats both thumping and wistful at the same time. The newly completed drum n bass mix strips away the thump in favour of delicate backbeats, voice anbd sweeping orchestral backing." - Music and Media Dance Grooves by Gary Smith. HEAR IT! ORDER IT!
