Friday got off to a good start, hooking up with top UK producers
John "Snowy Raphael" Venpin and Lukee, with whom we may
collaborate on future tracks. Many other good connections were made
including Sweden's number one hard dance producers Reactive
Records, Gunnar Siewert of top German production house F228,
6:am's DJ Michael
Flume who gave us copies of his wonderful album 'Agolele', Drizzly
Music's A&R man Faris Al-Hassoni, Dimitri De Wit of top
dance label Black
Hole Recordings, and Lisa Blofeld from London's Neo
Records.
An entertaining evening ensued in the company of John and Lukee,
who agreed that no visit to Amsterdam would be complete without
a quick stroll around the city's Red Light district. The area is
located in one of the oldest parts of the city, so it was purely
for architectural reasons of course! Photography is definitely not
allowed, as Charlie soon discovered after being warned in no uncertain
terms by one of the not so friendly pimps.
John and Lukee ran out of steam after a few hours in the Glasshouse
Coffeshop, so we proceeded alone to the Escape club to catch superstar
Dutch DJ Marco V.
Once finally past the unfriendly staff, the hard monotonous music
and druggy crowd were in stark contrast to the uplifiting vibes
of the previous evening and after barely a couple of hours it was
time to escape from Escape...
